Weekly sneak peek on what we have been working at

Yes, you got me, I missed the article last week. If let me, I’ll explain why. It’s been two rough weeks, a lot of work done, and yet there’s still a great amount to be done.

Alpha smart contract system

I’m super proud to tell this, we deployed the first version of smart contracts in our private chain and it worked! After intense nights, we succeeded at solving many tasks to finally achieving, what we think is the most economical (in terms of gas), and efficient design. I’m sure there are still things we haven’t noticed, but I’m really looking forward to catching as many bugs as we can so we can make a good impression at the audit.


Deployment script

While we were developing the contracts, I had the brightest idea of preparing a fully parameterizable SC deployment script, since every time you need to modify some contract parameters you mess up and break the working deployment script. With this tool you won’t need to put your dirty hands on the code, just fill a JSON and you’re ready. I will probably make an article about that later in the future when I come up with a more advanced version of it.


Alpha map version

Another huge step is that we have designed the first version of the map that will run during the MVP. I don’t want to go into details because we based it on the pillars that we mentioned in previous articles, go check them out to understand what I’m speaking about. I will describe it a bit more in the future, and if by that time it’s already set, maybe even show it.


Resources

As you can see I didn’t start speaking about the resources (proud of it).

We made a huge change on our resources mechanism, and included several details that have been brought up by you guys! (community) So thank you for that. For now, although we have 8 different resources, we don’t have a clue if that will be the final number but for now, it seems like it is pretty balanced both economically and strategically.


New contacts

We have been introduced to new contacts that may be interested in our project. That is really good news since this project is currently supported only by us (we are doing a really good job though).


Looking forward to making a trailer

Since presentation is everything, all of the team believes that this is a key point for our marketing campaign, so expect something like this in the near future!


New Battle Engine Version

We have been working on the development and testing of a new battle engine version, which considers spatial and temporal dependencies. Players now can choose between different army formations in their troops, they may even create their own one in the future. Lead your army, lead your future.
